The Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Pancasila held a Hybrid seminar with the theme “In-Depth Talk about University of California Berkeley”, on Tuesday (2/8). This seminar invited speakers from the University of California Berkeley (UCB), namely Dr. George Anwar and Prof. Matthew P. Sherburne.

The event which was attended by the Chancellor of the University of Pancasila, the Vice Chancellor of UP, the Dean of FFUP, Lecturers and students, both online and offline were very enthusiastic and high-spirited.

The event was opened with remarks by the Chancellor of the Pancasila University, Prof. Dr. Edie Toet Hendratno, S.H., M.Sc., FCBArb and remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Pancasila, Prof. Dr. apt. Syamsudin. In his remarks, he said that this seminar was the first step of cooperation with UCB. This collaboration will be applied in various fields, including student and lecturer exchanges, students continuing their studies to a higher level, research collaborations, guest lectures, professor visits, postdoctoral studies, and specific courses or programs of expertise.

On the same occasion, the Chancellor of the University of Pancasila, Prof. Dr. Edie Toet Hendratno, S.H., M.Sc., FCBARb expressed his pride and support for this collaborative step, especially placing the Faculty of Pharmacy, Pancasila University as the host for UCB’s visit to Indonesia.

The event sponsored by Henryanto Komala as the Board of Director of BOD PT Natura Nuswantara Nirmala (Nucleus Farma) who is the sole sponsor of this activity also said that his party as an industrial partner was very supportive of this initial activity.

With the collaboration with well-known campuses such as the University of California Berkeley (UCB), there is great hope that it can improve the quality of higher education to be better and superior in various fields, added Prof. Dr. Edie Toet Hendratno, S.H., M.Sc., FCBArb.
