The Faculty of Pharmacy, Pancasila University, collaborated with Kulliyyah of Science International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) Kuantan Campus. Cooperation on academic mobility, research mobility and technical mobility of technology. The signing of the Letter of Intent (LoI) was held at the Kulliyah of Sciences-IIUM, Kuantan Campus on August 29, 2022.
The Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Pancasila University, Prof. Dr. Syamsudin, M. Biomed in his remarks said that university partnerships provide a large number of opportunities for students and staff. I would like to take this opportunity to empower our academics, students or staff with the knowledge, skills, values and attitudes to address the interconnected global challenges we face today, through collaboration around the world. One form of implementation of the signing of this LOI will be sent 1 doctoral student on behalf of Greesty Finotory Swandini who will complete a dissertation research on; The search for bioactive compounds based on the results of an ethnopharmacology study in Gunung Sari Village through the method of inhibition of dipeptidyl peptidase-4: In vitro and in vivo studies on Danio rerio. The research will be carried out at the Central Research Animal Facility (CREAM) using zebrafish (Danio rerio), in this case Kulliyah of Science has used many experimental fish as substitutes for mice or rats.
Meanwhile, Dean of Kulliyyah of Science, Assoc Prof. Dr. Jesni Shamsul Shaari explained, internationalization is growing rapidly, universities around the world have tried to take advantage of the existing possibilities by forming global partnerships and fostering relationships with other institutions. The collaboration between Kulliyah of Science IIUM and the Faculty of Pharmacy of Pancasila University can offer international experiences, including overseas programs and staff exchanges.
