Parks and green spaces are important elements in supporting the UIGreen Metric. Large garden areas, vertical gardens, and potted plants play an important role. FFUP has :
FFUP garden area: 1.743,6 m2
This park not only functions as a green lung that absorbs carbon dioxide and produces oxygen, but also as a place of education for students and staff because there are quite a lot of ornamental plants and medicinal plants in the FFUP environment. The presence of a large garden helps to lower the ambient temperature, reduce the effects of heat, and increase biodiversity.
Vertical garden area: 132.13 m2
Vertical gardens are an innovative solution to land constraints on campus. By growing plants on the walls of buildings, vertical gardens increase green space without requiring additional horizontal land. As well as providing aesthetic benefits, vertical gardens also help to improve air quality, reduce pollution, and provide habitat for insects and small birds.Potted plant area: potted plants are located at several points in the FFUP area. Potted plants are a flexible way to add a green element to the FFUP area. Potted plants are easy to move and maintain, allowing for rearrangement as needed. Potted plants can also serve as natural dividers in open spaces, creating a more refreshing atmosphere and adding to the beauty of the environment.
