Pancasila University Pharmacy again held an open session for doctoral promotion in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences on Saturday (1/2). On this occasion, apt. Nur’aini, S.Si., M.Farm. successfully defended her dissertation entitled “Study of Glucomannan Enzymatic Hydrolysis Results and Gamma Irradiation Treatment Tested for Anti-Inflammatory Activity Using RAW 264.7 Macrophage Cells.

This open session took place in Meeting Room 206 – 208 2nd Floor of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Pancasila, attended by academics, students, and invited guests. The event was chaired by Prof. Dr. Ir. Marsudi Wahyu Kisworo, IPU, Rector of Universitas Pancasila, who also acted as Chairman of the Session. In addition, Prof. Dr. apt. Syamsudin, M.Biomed, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Pancasila, also attended as Chief Examiner.

Research conducted by apt. Nur’aini highlighted the potential of glucomannan from enzymatic hydrolysis and gamma irradiation treatment in anti-inflammatory activity. By using RAW 264.7 macrophage cells as a test model, this research is expected to make a significant contribution in the development of natural material-based inflammatory therapy.

In this trial, apt. Nur’aini was accompanied by a promoter team consisting of:

Promoter Team:

  • Prof. Dr. apt. Effionora Anwar, M.S. (Faculty of Pharmacy Universitas Pancasila)

Co-Promoter :

  • Prof. Dr. apt. Dian Ratih L., M.Biomed. (Faculty of Pharmacy Universitas Pancasila)
  • Dr. Hendiq Winarno, M.Sc. (Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional – BRIN)

Selain itu, ujian ini turut melibatkan tim penguji yang terdiri dari akademisi dan peneliti terkemuka:

Examiner Team::

  • Prof. Dr. rer.nat. apt. Deni Rahmat, M.Si. (Faculty of Pharmacy Universitas Pancasila)
  • Prof. Dr. apt. Esti Mumpuni, M.Si. (Faculty of Pharmacy Universitas Pancasila)
  • Prof. Dr. Drs. Kusmardi, MS. (Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Indonesia)
  • Prof. Dr. Muhammad Hanafi, M.Sc. (Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional – BRIN)

The session took place in a dynamic academic atmosphere, where the examiners asked various questions and provided input related to research methodology, findings, and their potential application in the medical world. With strong and data-based scientific arguments, apt. Nur’aini successfully defended her dissertation very well.
