The Faculty of Pharmacy of Pancasila University once again held an open session for doctoral promotion in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences. This time, Dr. dr. Ninik Setya Hastuti, M.Farm, M.Biomed, Sp.KKLP successfully defended her dissertation entitled “In Vitro, In Vivo and Clinical Tests of Serum Nanostructured Lipid Carrier (NLC) Potential of Telang Flower Extract (Clitorea ternatea) as an Antiaging Preparation.”

This open session took place at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Pancasila University on Monday, February 24, 2025, attended by academics, students, and invited guests. This activity was chaired by Prof. Dr. apt. Syamsudin, M.Biomed, who acted as Promoter and Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Pancasila.

Research conducted by Dr. dr. Ninik Setya Hastuti highlights the potential of telang flower extract formulated in a Nanostructured Lipid Carrier (NLC) delivery system as an antiaging serum. Through in vitro, in vivo, and clinical trials, this research is expected to contribute to the development of natural ingredient-based antiaging products that are more effective and safe.

The session took place with an intense academic discussion, where the examiners provided various questions and inputs related to the research methodology, laboratory test results, as well as the applicative potential of the telang flower NLC serum formulation in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries. With strong arguments and scientific data, Dr. dr. Ninik Setya Hastuti was able to answer all questions well and successfully defend her dissertation.

Dr. dr. Ninik Setya Hastuti’s success in obtaining this doctoral degree makes her the 26th graduate of the Doctoral Study Program of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Pancasila University. This achievement further strengthens the role of the Faculty of Pharmacy Universitas Pancasila in producing doctoral graduates who contribute to the development of innovative research based on natural ingredients.
