Jakarta, Thursday (January 29) โ€“ Universitas Pancasila (UP) held a Student Protection Socialization program as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen the universityโ€™s commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, friendly, and violence-free academic environment. The event was attended by lecturers, students, and administrative staff, and featured the Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Public Relations, and Legal Affairs, M. Rizky Aldila, S.H., M.Kn., as the keynote speaker.

In his presentation, M. Rizky Aldila emphasized that violence in higher education settings can have serious impacts on studentsโ€™ sense of safety, mental well-being, and academic continuity. He stated that universities have a responsibility to ensure that all tridharma activities are carried out in a fair, equal, and humane atmosphere.

The socialization aimed to build a shared understanding among all members of the academic community regarding the forms of violence and the scope of student protection, to explain the rights of Victims, Witnesses, and the Accused, and to ensure that everyone is familiar with reporting channels, follow-up procedures, and applicable sanctions.

At Universitas Pancasila, student protection applies to all tridharma activities, both on and off campus, and covers members of the academic community, campus residents, surrounding communities, and university partners. This policy is supported by official university regulations and decisions that guarantee student protection. The forms of violence addressed include physical violence, psychological abuse and bullying, sexual violence, discrimination and intolerance, as well as policies that contain elements of violence.

Universitas Pancasila has also established the Task Force for the Prevention and Handling of Violence in Higher Education (PPKPT) as its official protection system. This task force serves as a safe channel for students and all campus members to seek protection and submit reports through the reporting platform at lapor.univpancasila.ac.id.

Each report received will be processed through several stages, including report submission, case review, confidential and secure examination, and the issuance of an official decision.

Through this program, Universitas Pancasila reaffirmed its commitment to prevention, response, and victim recovery efforts. The university also calls on the entire academic community to build a culture of courage in reporting, non-victim-blaming, and mutual care in order to create a safe and dignified campus environment.
