The Faculty of Pharmacy of Pancasila University held an inauguration ceremony of the new Student Representative Body (BPM) and Student Senate (SEMA) for the 2024-2025 period, which took place solemnly in the 4th Floor Hall of the Faculty of Pharmacy. This activity was also attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. apt. Syamsudin, M.Biomed, as well as faculty leaders, including the Head of Academic Affairs, Head of General Affairs, lecturers, representatives of student organizations, and BPM-SEMA administrators of the previous period. During the inauguration, Andra Nurmayanti was confirmed as the Head of BPM and Bryan Kurniadi Girsang as the Head of SEMA for the 2024-2025 management period. Both of them will officially carry out their responsibilities as the head of student organizations at the Faculty of Pharmacy for the next one year.
In his speech, Prof. Syamsudin congratulated the newly appointed administrators and appreciated the spirit of students in the organization. He emphasized the important role of student organizations as a vehicle for character building and leadership that supports academic progress.
“Congratulations to the BPM and SEMA administrators for the 2024-2025 period. I hope you can carry out work programs that are not only beneficial for students, but also in line with the vision and mission of the Faculty of Pharmacy. Student organizations are important pillars in shaping integrity and collaboration in the campus environment,” he said.
Furthermore, he also encouraged the active involvement of students in various scientific activities and international programs. One of the highlights is the participation of students in the World Science Environment and Engineering Competition (WSEEC) last May as a real proof of contribution in the scientific field.
In addition, the Dean also invited students to join the International Summer Course program which will be held in July 2025 as part of the inbound student mobility program. This program is a concrete form of international cooperation between the Faculty of Pharmacy of Pancasila University and various partner universities abroad.
“This activity is part of the internationalization program that we encourage so that students have the opportunity to broaden their horizons, exchange knowledge, and network with pharmacy students from various countries,” added Prof. Syamsudin.
On this occasion, the Dean also expressed his appreciation to the previous administrators, namely Dayu Prajna Khairunnisa S (Chairperson of BPM 2023-2024) and Agustinus Ivan Swendra (Chairperson of SEMA 2023-2024), for their dedication and contribution during their tenure. The inauguration ceremony was closed with a group photo session and hospitality among the academic community, marking a new beginning in the journey of the Faculty of Pharmacy student organization. The spirit of regeneration and collaboration is the main provision in forming students who are active, superior, and ready to compete at the national and international levels.
