In an effort to support the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Faculty of Pharmacy, Pancasila University (FFUP) continues to innovate by presenting programs that are oriented towards environmental awareness. One of these programs is through a movement to recycle plastic mineral water bottles (AMDK) that involves the entire academic community, especially students.

Through this program, students are encouraged to sort and dispose of bottled water containers in special bins provided in the Faculty of Pharmacy cafeteria area. Each bottle collected is not just ordinary plastic waste, but part of a real movement towards sustainable waste management.

This activity is a form of the faculty’s commitment to realizing SDG point 12: Responsible Consumption and Production and SDG point 13: Climate Action, which emphasizes the importance of responsible consumption patterns and concrete action on climate change through the reduction of plastic waste. In collaboration with Bank Sampah, the collected bottles are then sent for recycling. To date, the program has recorded significant collection results:

πŸ“¦ Batch 1: 56 kg
πŸ“¦ Batch 2: 61,7 kg
πŸ“¦ Batch 3: 97,1 kg
πŸ’§ Provisional total: 214.8 kg of plastic bottles successfully recycled.

Through simple activities such as sorting and distributing plastic bottles, the Faculty of Pharmacy wants to instill awareness that big changes for the earth can start with small steps on campus.
In addition to its ecological impact, this activity also encourages a culture of sustainability on campus. The Faculty of Pharmacy at Pancasila University is committed to making this movement part of its growing and inspiring Eco-Friendly Campus identity.

The schedule for the next batch collection will be announced soon, as part of the campus’ commitment to creating a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable environment.
