About

The Faculty of Pharmacy at Pancasila University was granted REGISTERED status with a Certificate of Registration, No. 90/B-Swt/P/64, dated July 13, 1964, consisting of: the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Economics, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, the Faculty of Engineering (Civil and Mechanical Departments), the Faculty of Pharmacy, and the Faculty of Geography. On the 38th Youth Pledge Day, October 28, 1966, Pancasila University merged with Bung Karno University (UBK) to become Pancasila University, and that date was designated as the founding date of Pancasila University.

Seven years later, the status was upgraded to EQUIVALENT. This status was issued based on the Letter of Statement from the Minister of Education and Culture with Decree No. 0578/0/1990, dated September 3, 1990. With the change in status to EQUIVALENT, the Faculty of Pharmacy, Pancasila University (FFUP) was able to hold Bachelor’s Degree Examinations and have its diplomas approved by Kopertis Region III. In 1993, the Faculty of Pharmacy obtained permission to hold State Pharmacist Examinations.

In 1998, the National Accreditation Agency for Higher Education (BAN-PT) conducted an assessment and verification of FFUP, which was then awarded an Accreditation-B rating valid for 5 years. Five years later, the accreditation rating was upgraded to Accreditation-A. This rating was awarded by BAN-PT with Decree No. 15/BAN-PT/Ak-VII/S1NII/2003, dated July 18, 2003. On September 21, 2013, the A accreditation was maintained until September 21, 2018. Reaccreditation A was again maintained by the Pharmacy Undergraduate Program, issued by LAMPTKes until May 25, 2023.

Currently, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Pancasila University has five study programs, namely the Bachelor of Pharmacy Study Program, the Pharmacist Professional Study Program, the Diploma III Pharmacy Study Program, the Master of Pharmacy Study Program, and the Doctor of Pharmacy Study Program.

The Doctoral Program in Pharmacy at FFUP began in 2016 with an operational permit from the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education Number 104/KPT/I/2016, dated February 16, 2016. This Doctor of Pharmacy Program at Pancasila University is the first private pharmacy program in 2016 to receive operational approval from the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education. In 2018, the Doctor of Pharmacy Program applied for accreditation. This program was established with the aim of making a significant contribution to institutions, society, and the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and nutraceutical industries based on natural ingredients from Indonesia’s biodiversity. The implementation of the Doctor of Pharmacy program at Pancasila University is evidence that Pancasila University fully supports the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education’s program to increase the number of doctoral graduates and international publications.

At the beginning of this study program, the position of Head of Study Program was held by the Dean of FFUP, Prof. Dr. apt. Shirly Kumala, M.Biomed. for 2 (two) academic years, then continued by Prof. Dr. apt. Syamsudin, M.Biomed. Currently, the position of Program Director has been handed over to Prof. Dr. rer. nat. apt.
