1. CBCD (Center for Botanicals and Chronic Diseases) – Rutgers
University-School of Environmental and Biological Sciences-USA

International Collaboration with the Center for Botanicals and Chronic Diseases – Rutgers University, School of Environmental and Biological Sciences (https://cbcd.rutgers.edu/institutions.html) Collaboration in the fields of Education, Research, and Community Service.

Developing the Botanicals and Metabolic Syndrome Curriculum. Several doctoral students participated in joint lectures alongside students from other universities, including:

  • From Indonesia: Faculty of Biology, Universitas Nasional, and Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sriwijaya.
  • From Tajikistan: Avicenna Tajik State Medical University (TSMU), Tajik National University (TNU), Pamir Biological Institute (PBI), and the Institute of Botany, Plant Physiology and Genetics (IB).

These activities were mentored by researchers from Rutgers University (see activity photos). Several activities that have been carried out include the following:

  • 2022 Workshop on the Potential of Tropical Plants for Health (Kegiatan)

2. International Islamic University (IIUM)-Malaysia

Collaboration between the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Pancasila (FFUP) and the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in the field of education, with Assoc. Prof. Deny Susanti from IIUM serving as Co-Promoter for a doctoral student, Greesty Finotory Swandiny.

Research collaboration in developing a study on the exploration of temulawak (Curcuma xanthorrhiza) as an adjuvant therapy for breast cancer, funded by the Ministry of Research and Technology/National Research and Innovation Agency (Kemenristek-Dikti) through the Kedaireka program in 2023, in partnership with Prof. Muhammad Taher from the Kulliyyah of Pharmacy, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM).

3. College of Pharmacy, Oregon State University (USA)

Collaboration between the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Pancasila (FFUP) and the College of Pharmacy, Oregon State University (OSU) in the field of education, with Prof. Taifo Mahmud serving as Co-Promoter for a doctoral student, Asarini. In addition, a research collaboration is being conducted to develop Indonesian natural products as potential anti-tuberculosis (anti-TB) agents.
