The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Pancasila is an integral part of Universitas Pancasila, operating under the Pancasila University Education and Development Foundation (YPPUP). It obtained the “Equivalent Status” based on the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture No. 0578/0/1990 dated September 3, 1990. Since then, the Pharmacist Professional Study Program of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Pancasila (PSPA-FFUP) has been granted permission to conduct the national examination in 1993.

On February 3, 2012, PSPA-FFUP received a “B” accreditation rating based on the Decree of BAN-PT No. 001/BAN-PT/Ak-I/PSPA/2012, and later achieved an “A” accreditation rating on January 24, 2015, based on the Decree of BAN-PT No. 022/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/PSPA/I/2015. The program successfully maintained its “A” accreditation on December 28, 2019, according to the Decree of LAM-PTKes Association No. 073/LAM-PTKes/Akr/Pro/XII/2019.

The Pharmacist Professional Education Study Program of Universitas Pancasila (PSPPA UP) produces competent pharmacists who demonstrate professionalism in carrying out pharmaceutical practices, possess strong soft skills, and embody the values of Pancasila. Since its establishment in 1989 until February 2023, PSPPA UP has graduated 5,693 students, with 200 active students currently enrolled. The duration of study is 1 year (2 semesters) with a total of 33 credits (SKS).

To ensure the quality of its graduates, PSPPA UP continuously updates its teaching methods in accordance with the latest developments in science and technology. The Pharmacist Professional Practice (PKPA) constitutes the largest component of the PSPPA UP curriculum. Students are required to complete five (5) PKPA fields, namely:

  1. Community Pharmacy
  2. Hospital Pharmacy
  3. Pharmaceutical Industry
  4. Pharmaceutical Distribution
  5. Government Institutions (Ministry of Health, BPOM, Health Departments, and Public Health Centers)

PSPPA UP has established extensive collaboration networks as PKPA training sites across various regions. Some of its partner institutions include PT Harsen Laboratories, PT Indofarma, PT Abbott, PT Sanofi, PT Imedco Djaja, PT Bintang Toedjoe, PT Pharma Laboratories, BPOM RI, Directorate General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices, South Jakarta Health Sub-department, Tangerang City Health Office, Kimia Farma Pharmacy, RSUP Fatmawati, RSCM, MMC Hospital, Ciawi Regional Hospital (RSUD Ciawi), PT IGM, PT KFTD, and many others.
