Three lecturers of the Faculty of Pharmacy of Pancasila University (FFUP)-Dr. apt. Yesi Desmiaty, Dr. apt. Yati Sumiyati, and apt. Moordiani, M.Sc participated in the 10th International Conference on Climate Change (ICCC) held in Gifu, Japan, on November 6-8, 2024. With the theme “Climate Change, Plant, and Health”, the conference brought together scientists, researchers, and academics from various countries to share findings and innovations related to climate change and its effects on the environment, health, and sustainability. The event was organized by a collaboration between Gifu University, Sebelas Maret University, and Perhipba (Natural Medicinal Materials Research Association).
In this prestigious conference, three FFUP lecturers had the opportunity to present their research results in the oral presentation session, including:
- Dr. apt. Yesi Desmiaty and her team (Ni Made Dwi Sandhiutami, Himawari Hanifah, and Siti Umrah Noor) presented a research entitled, “Bitter Masking of Citrus aurantiifolia Peel Extract Using Maltodextrin/Na Alginate Inclusion Complexes,”
- Dr. apt. Yati Sumiyati together with John Tua, Warni, Heppy Dia Novia, Emilda, and Alessandro Volta Gunady, presented a work entitled “Mahogany Seeds Extract Showed Potential Immunomodulator by In-Silico and In Vivo Testing,” which examined the potential of mahogany seeds as an immunomodulator through in-silico and in-vivo testing.
- Apt. Moordiani, M.Sc, together with Yuslia Noviani and Yuli Kusuma Lestariningsih, presented a research entitled “Antimicrobial Activity of Mouthwash Made from Ananas comosus and Citrus sinensis Peels Waste Against Streptococcus mutans and Candida albicans.”
The involvement of these three lecturers emphasizes FFUP’s active role in international research oriented towards sustainability and public health amidst the challenges of climate change.
